What's the difference between  HUD Home and a Foreclosed property?

Most people somehow knew the answer to this, but there are still others who don't. Some thought that foreclosed properties and HUD are just the same. It's not. The only thing they have in common is when you get any of the two, the property comes in "as is". So, before you get one you have to make sure that you've prepared physically, mentally and financially for repairs, replacements and maintenance.
So, what really is the difference? With foreclosed properties, you can instantly make an offer to the seller. The seller could be a bank or a lender. Either make an offer on your own, or through a Real Estate agent, it doesn't matter because you can do both with this kind of property. However, that's not the case with HUD Homes. You cannot make an offer on your own instantly. You would need a Real Estate agent to represent you in order to make an offer. There will be a bidding process until a scheduled deadline.
Make sure to get an experienced Real Estate agent to get more chances of getting a HUD Home that you want.
