Atlanta home builders recently announced that Atlanta is now one of the Top 10 Markets for New Resident Construction. Atlanta became the fourth strongest market for housing starts in the country, according to the new data derived from Metrostudy.

Atlanta’s detached and attached new home starts are up by more than 500 homes in 2013 and is now up by 1,000 homes for the second quarter of 2014. Atlanta’s real estate market growth is 15 percent yearly and about 30 percent growth quarterly.
There is a strong demand in Atlanta’s market now, although the economic depression in the past had really affected the areas of Cobb County, Cherokee county, North Fulton county, Gwinnett county, DeKalb and South Forsyth county. New home sites are being developed in these areas, as well as other parts of metro Atlanta.

According to the Metrostudy, there is a huge possibility that the housing market in Atlanta will continue to grow in the next year with 18 percent increase in family housing. This is an important increase in this year’s anticipated six percent more increase.
